 abstract={In this paper an analysis is presented of the prey found in spider webs, as well as of the relations between the number of prey captured and the number and species composition of the insect fauna of the environment and the changes taking place in the population of the predator. The paper also analyses the relations between the size of the spider populations and the supply of food in the environment as well as the degree of differentiation in the structure of vegetation.},
