Their vision of a new political order in Europe, however, and of the Poland’s place within the order did not correspond to political plans of the Polish elites. The main controversies centred around the question of incorporation into Poland of extensive eastern territories. This was most opposed by Great Britain and by Prime Minister Lloyd George personally, who was evidently ill-disposed towards Poland.
