The chrysomelid communities of both sites have been described in terms of species composition, abundance, the structure of dominance and zoogeography. At both sites, Oulema gallaeciana was the dominant species in the ground cover. Of the species recorded from the understorey only Gonioctena quinquepunctata was associated with bird cherry. The results obtained were compared with the data from the literature referring to other regions in Poland. It was found that, in Poland, the chrysomelid fauna of linden-oak-hornbeam forests was richer in upland and mountainous areas than that in lowland areas (this was true both in respect of the number of species and the abundance of particular species).}, type={Text}, title={Chrysomelid communities (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) of linden-oak-hornbeam forests of the Wierzbanówka Stream valley in Pogórze Wielickie}, keywords={Pogórze Wielickie (region), Wierzbanówka Valley, zoocenosis, insects, Insecta, Chrysomelidae, leaf beetles, beetles, Coleoptera, chrysomelid communities, Tilio-Carpinetum, linden-oak-hornbeam forest, Poland}, }
