The original design of the fountain was executed in 1964 by an architect Włodzimierz Ściegienny. Unfortunately, the fountain has lost its original character as a result of a remodeling project carried out in 2007. At present, although it still arouses vivid emotions and is one of the most recognizable elements of Czestochowa’s urban space, its form and the context of its public perception have taken on a different dimension.
