 abstract={The author argues in favour of the thesis that the specific features of Jakub Wujek’s 1593 translation of the New Testament (lack of literalism) result from the translator’s collaboration with the censor Justus Rabb between 1591 and 1592. In the article’s sections, the author describes, in turn, the method adopted in this study, the results of the analysis of the translation of the Evangelical pericopes in the different editions of Wujek’s „Catholic Postil” and the New Testament of 1593, and discusses the source material for the subject of the study (Jesuit correspondence).},
