The ceramics were subjected to technological, morphological and stylistic analyses, which revealed links with a pottery tradition of Ruthenian-Byzantine origin. The assemblage is distinguished by the use of white kaolinitic clays, post-firing glazing of the products and a collection of tableware dominated by jugs. Glazed vessels appear to have reached the residential complex in larger quantities for a very brief period of time – no more than 20 years in the 13th c. Numerous ceramic tiles of white clay were most probably not part of the sacral buildings in this complex, but rather the residential parts considered as the seat of Daniel Romanovich, the Prince of Volhynia and Halych, and later king of Rus’}, title={Wczesnośredniowieczna ceramika szkliwiona z badań na terenie zespołu rezydencjonalno-sakralnego na Wysokiej Górce w Chełmie}, type={Text}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/235437/270377.pdf}, keywords={Early Medieval, Poland, Chełm, Wysoka Górka, glazed vessels, floor tiles, chemical composition analysis}, }
