Arteriosclerosis cerebri. Autopsy examination of 76-year-old was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, Cresyl violet, Heidenhain, Holzer and Van Gieson's stain.Thoracic medulla slightly laterally flattened, anterior horns long and thin. Cross-section revealed loss of nerve cells with replacement with gliosis, fatty degeneration and malacia.Vessels were vitrified or fibrotic with single lymphocytes. In cervical and lumbar spinal cord lesions were less severe. In the brain, apart from congestion, oedema, large atherosclerotic lesions and fatty degeneration of nerve cells, there are no other changes.}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1966) - nr 45/66}, type={Text}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/193319/PDF/45_66.pdf}, keywords={Vascular diseases - arteriosclerosis cerebri}, }
