Ample space is devoted to the context of this process, the confrontation in the Baltic region, especially in Latvia, between the policy of Bolsheviks, ‘White’ Russians, Germany, Great Britain, and Poland in particular. The text emphasises the importance of the Polish Army’s victory in the war against the Bolsheviks for the stabilisation of Latvia’s internal position. Its substantial part is made up by the reconstruction based on the preserved documents of the formation of Latvian borders, emphasising the dispute over the south-eastern district of Pytalovo (Abrene).}, type={Text}, title={Łotewska droga do niepodległości 1917–1921}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/191344/PDF/WA303_225741_A507-DN-R-53-1_Materski.pdf}, volume={53}, number={1}, journal={Dzieje Najnowsze : [kwartalnik poświęcony historii XX wieku]}, publisher={Instytut Historii PAN}, keywords={Latvia - history - 1914-1918, World War, 1914-1918 - occupied territories, Ober-Ost, Latvia - history - 1918-1940, Latvia - history - War of Independence, 1918-1920, Baltic States - history - Revolution, 1917-1921, communists - Latvia- history - 1900-1945, Bolsheviks, export of revolution, Ulmanis, Kārlis (1877-1942), Meierovics, Zigfrīds (1887-1925), Tallents, Stephen (1884-1958), war of independence, Latvian Provisional National Council, Latviešu pagaidi nacionālas padomes - history, Latvia - politics and government - 1918-1940, Latvia - history - autonomy and independence movements}, }
