Throughout its over 100 years of existence and under the continued patronage of the Rej family the town was not only the place of numerous synods, the location an impressive church edifice, a Reformed school but also the seat of may influential pastors of the Church: Franciszek Stankar the Younger (1562–1621) and Jerzy Laetus (1609–c. 1656).
