 abstract={The article describes the issue of operational exposure of the Polish independence underground in Vilnius region by the NKVD-NKGB during the Russian occupation in 1940–41. On the basis of archival documents preserved in the Lithuanian Special Archives in Vilnius, the author presents the surveillance of the commandantof the Vilnius District of the Armed Combat Union (ZWZ), Col Nikodem Sulik ‘Ładyna’, conducted from September 1940 to April 1941 with the use of spy ring placed in his milieu and a temporal external surveillance carried out by secret NKVD agents.},
