The basic condition of the compromise emphasised by the Russians was the Polish agreement to setting the future border separating their countries in accordance with the eastern border of the Kingdom of Poland, which, before the First World War, was part of the Russian Empire. For Poland, politically and militarily supporting “White” Russia stood against the Polish raison d’état. In the case of a “White” Russian victory the future of the Polish border would be sealed, as the Entente powers would likely support their former ally and agree to demarcating the eastern border of the former Kingdom of Poland.}, title={In the Hallways of Versailles : “White” Russia and Poland during the Paris Peace Conference}, type={Text}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/150907/PDF/WA303_183879_A453-SzDR-55-3-SI_Wolos.pdf}, volume={55}, number={3}, journal={Studia z Dziejów Rosji i Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej}, journal={Studia z Dziejów Rosji i Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej}, publisher={Instytut Historii im.
