 abstract={A 40-year-old patient with muscle pain in the lower extremities was examined. A biceps biopsy was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed normal myofibrils structure. Although, quite numerous fat droplets were visible and we observed mitochondria swelling (Fig. 1,2,3).A defect of mitochondrial enzymes was suspected. Biochemical evaluation of carnitine palmitoyltransferase in the muscle tissue is advisable.},
