The most important factors influencing the proteases are natural protease inhibitors which form complexes with target proteases to inactivate and/or to regulate their activity. They have been investigated from the points of view of physiological functions, tools for analysing protease enzymology, models for protein-protein and protease-protein interactions, and on medical applications.
