Biomass of phytoplankton (mainly blue-green algae) and of rotifere increase to the highest phosphorus concentrations in polymictic lakes, and reach much higher values than in dimictic ones. Regular changes of 42 indices of lake ecosystem structure and functioning versus their trophic state have been characterized. However, the scatter of values of indices is great, especially in the most hypertrophic lakes, having frequently unexpected characters for so high trophic state.}, title={Ecological characteristics of lakes in north-eastern Poland versus their trophic gradient. 12, Dependence of chosen indices of structure and functioning of ecosystems on trophic status and mictic type of 42 lakes}, type={Text}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/79275/PDF/WA058_87175_P2840-T31_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-2.pdf}, volume={31}, number={2}, journal={Ekologia Polska}, publisher={Polish Scientific Publishers}, keywords={lakes, trophic state, mixis, structure and functioning of ecosystems}, }
