 abstract={The aim of the publication is to present the results of the local development plans of seven selected municipalities (District of Radomszczański in Łódź Voivodship) from the point of view of their compliance with the guidelines contained in Rules for the development of the Local Development Plans under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lodz Region for 2007–2013. Local development plans and growth strategies are planning documents are required documents to be generated by Local Government units. These documents should determine the direction of work to improve the situation on the territory of the municipality and to facilitate the evaluation of the action taken. The study was conducted in December 2012 and verified local development plans of seven surveyed municipalities. The main hypothesis was partially confirmed in that under examination, the Local Development Plans materially differed from the municipality rules developed in the Office of the Marshal in the Voivodship. The analyzed documents, while containing most of the directives were prepared superficially and carelessly.},
