 abstract={In this review, the author indicates the damage that can becaused by writing scientific texts to prove a preconceived thesis.¬According to Oleksiy Toločko and his team, The Galician-Volhynian Chronicle(Romanovichi Chronicle) is a late mediaeval source. Their claim that its compilation began after 1264, and that the final text was developed after 1292 is open to question, but a significant part of the analysis carried out by the Kyiv researchers aims to substantiate this thesis.¬Nevertheless, the text under review contains some high-quality analysis of individual fragments of the Chronicle.},
