With the help of the parameters shape and size of the analysis window the degree of generalization can be adjusted and infinitely variably scaled. The up- and down-scaling is demonstrated in comparison with conventional methods of spatial interpolation. Analysis and description of the spatial distributions are carried out on the basis of data examples originated from the "Map of Vascular Plants in Eastern Germany"(Benkert, Fukarek, Korsch, 1996). A second example describes thenecessity and methods of the generalization of Digital Elevation Models (DEM) for visualization purposes and introduces results.}, type={Text}, title={Eco-info and systems research * Specialized software * Methods of up-scaling and down-scaling in spatial context}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/Content/197928/PDF/KS-2006-04-T52R01P03.pdf}, }
