 abstract={This article presents names of various places in Eastern Pomerania: villages, towns and their parts, andfields and bodies of water. Presented toponyms show that for former and current residents of EasternPomerania issues associated with beliefs were a component of everyday life. The fact that many localnames and especially the field names have biblical origin shows that belief and practice associated withit mark its impact also on other spheres of life and that these spheres influenced each other. With regardto the time after 1945, we can talk about the continuation of the naming tradition, as many Germannames were translated into Polish.},
