Abstract:

The exhibition was mounted for the International Geographical Union’s Regional Conference held in Kraków on August 18-22, 2014, and remained open until January22, 2015. It attracted a total of 10,585 visits, and was the first exhibition of its kind in Poland. The exhibition will feature key examples of the tradition of Polish geographical thought from the Middle Ages to through to contemporary times. The exhibition is documented by old books, maps, geographical instruments and devices and archival materials.
