Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The bride and groom and the guests at the wedding ceremony kachchi rabari. The groom goes with the bride connected with a white cord. This part of the wedding ceremony is a encirclement by the fire. At the end of the last lap they become husband and wife. Bride is hidden under the veil from view of participants, and groom is dressed as a king (raja). Guests are dressed in festive costumes, women in distinctive long black veils with red dots. Young women decorated jewelry, indicating their status as married women. Men are also festively dressed traditionally in white, the black and purple turban with patterns - a sign of belonging to a group kachchi rabari
