In Kruszwica a huge Piast town belonging to ones of most populous and most important centres of Piast Poland rose - sedes regni principales. How they demonstrated closing arrangements he was uplifted in last ex. Of the 10th century and in the different form lasted for the XIII age. also a sacred object existed in the town - the church of the St welcomes. In Kruszwica abundant deposits and burial mounds dating from centuries were provided with archaeological examinations than X up to contemporary times. Managed also to notice the course of two early medieval bridges joining edges Gopła. Archaeological examinations in Kruszwica on Kuyavia were commenced in 1948 year (of the survey R. Jakimowicz), and from 1954 were continued by the Institute of History of Material culture PAN - at present IAE PAN branch in Poznań under management of Witold Hensla, and then of Wojciech Dzieduszycki
